Do you know how to choose tungsten carbide material?
Tungsten carbide has been widly used in many industry fields, even been call the teeth of industry. It has 3 main binders, cobalt, nickel and titanium. Many people dont know their differences.
Tungsten Carbide is the industry standard and for very good reason; it has proven itself over many years of service in the particular field. It has outstanding wear properties with a Cobalt binder, yet has become slightly more costly.
Nickel Carbide has comparable wear properties and contains a Nickel binder. It is best suited to corrosive and/or wet environments.
Titanium Carbide may be the relatively "new kid on the block". It is an ideal material suitable for all environments. Titanium Carbide has the advantages of being less expensive, easier to grind, and weighs considerably less than the other two materials.
