The Applicatin Of Tungsten Carbide Drawing Die Case
The tungsten carbide wire drawing die is probably firmly fixed next to the die case before grinding and polishing. The service life of the wire drawing die is importantly related to the quality of drawing die case. Especially when drawing large diameter and hard materials, the quality of the case is more important. It is probably ensured that the die blank must be firmly fixed in the die case at the actual drawing temperature to effectively ensure the service life of the tungsten carbide.
Although tungsten carbide has a high wear resistance function, its toughness is very low. During the entire drawing process, it needs to accept a lot of stress. Therefore, it is necessary to insert the case to increase the strength of the tungsten carbide drawing die to prevent breaking occurs during application. Therefore, it is necessary to select the appropriate case set according to the practical application conditions to satisfy the required drawing conditions.
The wire drawing die blank and the die case should be concentric, and the center line of the die hole is roughly straight with the die case support. If the die blank is fixed in the die case in an inclined condition, the metal cannot be drawn correctly when the wire drawing die is used.
The carbide drawing die case must satisfy the following requirements:
1. The smooth material corrosion function used in the drawing production process has outstanding resistance.
2. The linear expansion coefficient should be as close as possible to the tungsten carbide drawing die nibs to ensure a strong connection between the tungsten carbide die blank and the die case.
3. It has a higher coefficient of elasticity and resists the remaining deformation of the die set when the drawing die blank is increased in size and drawn.
4. Higher yield strength.
Drawing die case material needs to be choosed based on detailed drawing conditions. For example, when the working stress of the drawing die is very large, the die case material will probably use alloy steel.
