How To Choose Material Grade For Tungsten Carbide Roller?
We all know that tungsten carbide roller has high hardness, good wear resistance, long use life, and high efficiency advantages, that’s making it widely used in steel wire and rod production.
Hardness and abrasion resistance derived from tungsten carbide, toughness and strength is dependent on the binder metal. Select the right material grades values a lot to the working conditions of the tungsten carbide roller.
How to choose the right grade?
First of all, you need to know the properties of different grades series is a basic need.
Then, you check your rolling speed of your mills, if under 100 m / s, choose YG series; if above 100 m / s, use YGH series.
In cold rolling mills, the most common grade are YG15 and YGH30, which could keep the tungsten carbide roller has the best working conditions.
